ABOUT US

David Williams- brings 34 years of law enforcement experience to the business.  During this time, he was a police officer for 8 years for the City of Slayton.  He then became a Deputy Sheriff for Carver County. Later he was promoted to Sergeant and then Lieutenant of the Carver County Sheriff’s Office.

 

During his time with Carver County, he created and oversaw the training program for the CCSO for 20 years.  He also was a member of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SWAT) and eventually the Commander.  Mr. Williams is an instructor in AIP (Aerosol Irritant Projector), baton, defensive tactics, weapon retention, handgun, rifle and shotgun use, de-escalation techniques, active shooter response, tactics and many other areas.

 

He has an

• Associate in Arts Degree in Law Enforcement

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Safety.

• Master of Arts Degree in Public Safety Administration

• Graduate of Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command

• Graduate of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Management and Supervision Programs.

• Completed the Sig Sauer Executive Officer Protection Program

 

He created and coordinated security for many events such as Taste of Minnesota (in Carver County) and Screamtown. Critical incident events (including Prince death, Paisley Park grand opening), County events and more.  Mr. Williams has extensive experience in working with diverse groups and volunteers.  He has over 40 years of public speaking and instructing experience.
