COURSES AND TRAINING
What Courses Do We Offer?
We offer many courses for you to choose from and at a reasonable price. The courses are designed to be "hands on" and interactive. We are always adding more and can customize the training to your needs. Some courses can be done at your site or ours. Our training is geared to the person who has no knowledge or experience in a topic to someone who has "some" knowledge, to those who are experienced in the topic.
COURSES:
PERMIT TO CARRY (Conceal and Carry)-We provide all you need to apply for your Permit to Carry in MN. We cover all statutory requirements and the qualification. We will provide a handgun for you to qualify with if you do not have your own. 4 hour class Cost: $75.00 per person
BASIC HANDGUN-We cover safety, nomenclature, shooting fundamentals, ammunition, loading and unloading the firearm and much more. Followed with range time to practice shooting with instruction. 2 hour class. Cost: $50.00 per person
BASIC SHOTGUN or RIFLE- We will cover safety, nomenclature, shooting fundamentals, types of ammunition, how to load and unload the weapon and much more. 2 hour class. Cost: $50.00 per person
ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE-In today's world we hear all about active shooter situations. Active shooter is not a new issue, it has been around since the 1920's. We will discuss what an active shooter is, and the history. What to do if involved in an active shooter situation. We will also run through scenarios as well. 1-2 hour class Cost: $25.00 per person
WEAPON MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING (Handgun/Shotgun/Rifle)-In this class we will discuss, demonstrate and perform the maintenance and cleaning of the particular weapon. The class is designated by the type of weapon such as handgun, shotgun or rifle. Students will learn how to disassemble their firearm, clean the firearm and check for damage. Students will learn how to re-assemble the firearm and do a function check. Students will work on an actual firearm (their own if they have one) and learn "tricks of the trade" to make cleaning easier. 1-2 hour class Cost: $50.00 per person
DE-ESCALATION TECHNIQUES-We discuss de-escalation techniques that you can use to diffuse a situation. Students will learn what are "trigger" words and what can be done to de-escalate the situation. We also discuss body language to watch for and also to not do ourselves. 1-2 hour class Cost: $25.00 per person
INTERMEDIATE WEAPONS-Students will learn about weapons that are not considered deadly force. They will learn about the pros and cons of weapons such as mace/AIP, stun guns, tasers, batons, alarms, flashlights, impact weapons, Kimber Pepper Blaster, and much, much more. They will get to handle the weapons and practice with some of them. Course is 2 hours. Cost: $50.00 per person
